Ten reasons I'm not rich

 These are the top ten reasons that  I'm not rich. When I say rich, I mean in a very narrow, America-focused way. I live better than 99 percent of humanity in real terms, but I am technically not rich, by the American definition. Here is the list:

• I get millions of dollars worth of goods and services for free. 
• I've never had to work a day in my life. 
• I'm bad at making money. 
• I'm a hippie (really, I am).
• I choose quantity over quality. 
• I only work when I'm scared of dying. 
• I sleep too much. 
• I don't do the hard stuff. 
• I started late. 
• I'm actually quite successful by American standards.

That's the list. I like number ten the best. And it's true. Statistics say that only point one percent of poor Americans can afford a one-bedroom apartment. I've got mine!
